For the intermediate frequency furnace liner of molten cast iron, the relatively cheap quartz sand is generally used as the knotting material. When the smelting temperature is high and the smelting conditions are harsh, the service life of the quartz sand knotting material is greatly reduced, and it can not meet the user's use requirements. At this time, it is necessary to use magnesium, magnesium aluminum, magnesium chromium and other dry knotting materials (that is, we often say basic furnace lining materials).


What are the common molding methods of refractory materials

There are many forming methods of resistant materials, and the common forming methods are extrusion forming, vibration forming, extrusion forming, ramming forming, isostatic pressing forming, melting casting molding, grouting molding, etc. At present, more molding methods are used in the production of refractory materials. This method uses a brick press and a mold to press mud into a blank body. Because of the semi-dry mud material with a general moisture content of about 5%, it also becomes semi-dry molding. Machine molding has dense ligand structure, high strength, drying and firing reduction, size is also easy to control, and can be divided into single-sided pressure, and double-sided pressure, the latter can reduce the layer density of the embryo.

The choice of molding method is mainly based on the nature of mud, the shape, size and other process requirements of the embryo body, in addition to most of the refractories using machine forming vibration forming for forming large special-shaped body, extrusion forming is generally used for tubular body forming, and grouting forming is generally used for hollow wall thin body forming. Isostatic pressing is currently mainly used in the production of high-performance refractory materials.

Of course, the choice of forming method is also limited by the equipment conditions of the production plant, so some products can not use the forming method. In this case, the enterprise should meet the technical requirements of the product under the premise of choosing other more appropriate molding methods.



Medium frequency furnace refractory knotting molding method:

2. Lay asbestos cloth on the inside of the sensor.

3. Tie the bottom of the furnace. After joining the sand in batches, repeat ramming each time with a pointed steel with a diameter of 12 to 14mm. The number of tying at the bottom of the furnace is 4 to 5 times, and the thickness of the bottom of the furnace is generally tied to the regular height, and the tying time is at least 10min.
